The metal air secondary battery of the invention is characterized by having a negative electrode member which has metal ions occluded therein and emits metal ions, a positive electrode member which ionizes oxygen, and a separator which is impregnated with an electrolyte and disposed between the negative electrode member and the positive electrode member, wherein the carbon weight in the total weight of a carrier, a catalyst, and a binder constituting the positive electrode member is 50% or less.
