The method preparing and sending a request for recorded video that originates from a specific video source, receiving a video information message including data relating to characteristics of a plurality of motion video recordings captured by the video source, wherein the received characteristics of each motion video recording includes a recording identity, a video quality value, a media address, an indication of start time and end time for the recording, and generating a motion video play scheme based at least on said video quality value, said indication of start time, and said indication of end time for each motion video recording.
