The lighting device includes a variable control circuit configured to supply a continuous DC supply voltage to each of the light sources. The lighting device includes a controller. The controller includes a first control function of controlling the switching circuit. The controller includes a second control function of controlling the variable control circuit. The controller is configured to select either the first control function or the second control function for each of the light sources.
