The invention relates to a tool for a packing machine which contains a heating element in the form of a first moulded body, preferably in the form of a plate which comprises at least one conductive connecting element having a certain length. Said invention also relates to a method for heating the inventive tools or sheets in a deep forming or sealing unit of said packing machine.
