摘要: Emergency vehicle patient transport systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, an emergency vehicle patient transport system includes: an emergency vehicle and a cot securing member. The vehicle comprises a loading passage providing access to an interior compartment and defining a loading direction in which to load the cot in the interior compartment. The cot securing member is coupled to the floor of the interior compartment and comprises a cot engagement surface configured to releasably engage a locking portion of the cot. The cost securing member further comprises a lift configured to raise the cot when engaged with the cot engagement surface along a cot raising direction. The cot engagement surface is configured to engage with the cot to permit an extendable linkage of the cot to expand as the securing member lifts the cot, while wheels attached to a bottom of the linkage maintain contact with the floor.

摘要: A method and an alignment system which auto-levels and/or auto-centers a loading platform (104) to load and unload a wheeled stretcher (106) to and from an emergency transport vehicle (100) are disclosed. A controller (114) of the alignment system receives a command to extend the loading platform from the emergency vehicle and extends the loading platform under power from the emergency transport vehicle. The controller recognizes an approaching wheeled stretcher, and aligns automatically the loading platform with a leading edge of the approaching wheeled stretcher to compensate automatically for any alignment issues between the loading platform and loading wheels (130) of the wheeled stretcher.
