    MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS
    An oil seal 1 for reciprocation motion includes a seal main body 6, a resin backup ring 4, and a holding member 22. The seal main body 6 includes a seal lip 7 that can be in sliding contact with a reciprocating shaft 8. The backup ring 4 is disposed such as to support the seal lip 7 from an atmosphere side to ensure durability of the seal lip 7. In the backup ring 4, at least a single annular groove 21 is provided on an inner peripheral surface 20 opposing the reciprocating shaft 8. The annular groove 21 can hold a lubricating material. The holding member 22 holds the backup ring 4 between the holding member 22 and the seal main body 6 in a sandwiched-state. The inner peripheral surface 20 of the backup ring 4 forms a taper that increases in diameter from a sealed side OS towards an atmosphere side AS in an axial direction.

    摘要: One object of the present invention is to provide a power transmitting apparatus which can reduce the gear shifting time lag and thus improve the power transmitting efficiency as well as can easily mount the sealing member to the outer circumference of the input shaft and thus reduce the manufacturing cost of the power transmitting apparatus. According to the present invention there is provided a power transmitting apparatus characterized in that the gear-stage clutch means comprises alternately arranged driving clutch discs and driven clutch discs; a hydraulic piston actuated by hydraulic pressure to selectively engage or disengage the driving clutch discs and driven clutch discs; hydraulic chambers for actuating the hydraulic piston; and hydraulic oil supplying ports communicating with oil passages formed within the input shaft and opening on the side surface of the input shaft for supplying the hydraulic chambers with hydraulic oil from the oil passages to actuate the hydraulic piston; that the power can be transmitted at a predetermined gear ratio with engaging the driving clutch discs with driven clutch discs of the gear-stage clutch means by selectively supplying the hydraulic chambers with hydraulic oil; and that an annular sealing member is fitted in a recessed portion formed around each opening of the hydraulic oil supplying port opened on the outer circumference of the input shaft and the recessed portion has a flattened bottom surface on which the sealing member is seated so that it is contacted with the flattened bottom surface of the recessed portion.

    摘要: [Configuration] In a hermetic sealing device provided with a thread on an atmosphere side sliding surface of a sealing lip that is in sliding contact with a rotating shaft, the atmosphere side sliding surface of the sealing lip is formed into a large curve that passes a sealing lip tip and recedes from a surface of a component with which the lip is in sliding contact towards the atmosphere side. A thread with a triangular cross-section is formed connecting the lip tip to a projecting section of a predetermined height formed at a required position distant from the lip tip. A ridge line of a thread peak of the thread is formed linearly. A thread is formed on the atmosphere side sliding surface, configured such that the height of the thread peak gradually increases away from the lip tip.
    [Effect] Because the ridge line of the thread peak is linear, a space between the shaft and the sealing lip can be maintained. As a result, risk of infiltrating dust being guided to a contacting section of the sealing lip tip can be suppressed, and leakage caused by dust becoming caught in the sealing lip can be prevented.
