The light emitting device (100) comprises a coherent source (110), a diffusing element (120), and a light guide part (140). The coherent source (110) is used for generating coherent light. The diffusing element (120) includes a first surface (121) and a second surface (122) which are opposite to each other, and the diffusing element (120) is used for dispersing the coherent light coming from the coherent source (110) so as to generate incoherent light. The light guide part (140) is provided on the side of the first surface (121) of the diffusing element (120). The light guide part (140) is used for guiding the coherent light emitting from the coherent source (110) to be incident on the first surface (121) so as to form a first light path, guiding a part of incoherent light emitting from the first surface (121) to emit through the first light path, guiding the remaining incoherent light to emit through a second path, and separating the first path and the second path. The luminous flux of the incoherent light emitting through the first light path is less than that of the incoherent light emitting through the second light path.

The light source device includes a light recycling system to reflect small-angle lights (lights closer to the normal direction of the light emitting surface) back to the light source, and a collection system for collecting and outputting large-angle lights (lights farther away from the normal direction). The lights reflected by the light recycling system is scattered by the emitting surface in all directions, where the large-angle scattered lights are collected by the light collection system and the small-angle scattered light is reflected by the light recycling system again. A second excitation light source without wavelength conversion material or a second light source with its own wavelength conversion material may be provided, and the second light is directed to the light emitting surface by appropriate optical components.

A light-emitting device and a related projection system. Light-emitting devices (300, 400) comprise: a light source unit (1) and focusing lenses (330, 430). The light source unit (1) comprises laser units (310, 410) and collimating lenses (320, 420) corresponding to the laser units (310, 410). The light-emitting surface of the laser units (310, 410) is a rectangle, and the light divergence angle of laser passing through the cross-section of the long side of the rectangle is smaller than the light divergence angle of same passing through the cross-section of the short side of the rectangle. The collimating lenses (320, 420) are used for focusing the laser from the laser units (310, 410) on a target surface to form a predetermined light spot. The laser units (310, 410) are located on the light axis of the collimating lenses (320, 420) in a predetermined position deviating from the focal point thereof, so that the predetermined light spot has a predetermined length-width ratio. The light-emitting device and the related projection system have the advantages of relatively small regulation quantity and relatively high assembly efficiency.

The excitation lights incident on the two sides of the wavelength conversion material may have the same color or different colors. Light separation structures are provided on both sides of the wavelength conversion material to separate the excitation light and the converted light. Light separation may be based on color difference or etendue difference of the excitation light and converted light. In one particular example, wavelength conversion material is formed on a surface of an LED which acts as the first excitation light source, and a second excitation light is delivered through a light separation structure onto the other side of the wavelength conversion material.

Present invention disclosed a projection apparatus and a control method for it. The projection apparatus includes at least two solid state light sources (101, 102), a sync signal generator (13) and a controller. The at least two solid state light source (101, 102) are used to directly or indirectly generate at least two primary color light of different color and output alternately. The sync signal generator is used for generating a sync signal, and the controller for supplying a drive power to each solid state light sources based on the sync signal in pulse manner. During at least one sub-period, one of the two solid state light sources is in working status and the other one is in an inactive status.
