The device further comprises a scheduler (150) for retrieving these packets from the queues according to a scheduling policy and comprises a forwarding module (110) for forwarding the packets to the queues by inspecting the QoS class and the congestion control type in the packets.

The access node device further comprises a resource usage module configured to detect insufficient link capacity for forwarding the received resources. The access node device (1) further comprises a dynamic resources scheduler adapted to adjust upstream traffic when insufficient link capacity is detected by the resource usage module. The upstream traffic is adjusted by allocating a substantially equal share of link capacity to the active wireline users (7) and wireless users (8) based on the predicted upstream traffic pattern.

    摘要: According to an embodiment the disclosure relates to a networking device (100) for scheduling the transmission of packets over a network interface (130). The device comprises a plurality of queues (120-125) for temporally buffering these packets. The queues comprises a deadline aware queue (125) for queueing data packets belonging to data flows with hard deadline requirements and one or more non-deadline aware queues (120-124) for queueing data packets belonging to data flows without hard deadline requirements. The device also comprises a dynamic weighted fair-queue scheduler (150) for retrieving the packets from the queues. A weight for the deadline aware queue is then based on a minimum rate requirement for the queue in order to meet the hard deadline requirements. The device also comprises a forwarding module (110) for forwarding the packets to the queues.
