摘要: A hemodialysis system (110) is described. The system comprises: an on-line dialysate generation source (112); a dialysate pump (22, 24) configured to pump dialysate generated by the generation source (112) to a dialyzer (20, 30); a conductivity sensor (63) located adjacent to a temperature sensor (62) upstream of the dialyzer (20, 30); a blood pump (48); an air detector (54); and a disposable cassette (100). The disposable cassette comprises: a dialysate flow path (60) for carrying dialysate pumped by the dialysate pump (22, 24), a conductivity sensor location (T2) and a temperature sensor location (62) for receiving the conductivity sensor (63) and the temperature sensor (62), respectively, and an extracorporeal circuit (50) for carrying blood pumped by the blood pump (48).

摘要: A renal therapy system is described. The system comprises: a filter (20, 30, 312); an arterial blood flowpath (44a) in fluid communication with the filter (20, 30, 312); a venous blood flowpath (44b) in fluid communication with the filter (20, 30, 312); an extracorporeal circuit (50) including the filter (20, 30, 312), the arterial blood flowpath (44a) and the venous blood flowpath (44b); a renal therapy fluid flowpath (314, 328) in fluid communication with the extracorporeal circuit; a plurality of valves (56); and first and second rotary peristaltic pumps (820, 830). The system (810) is configured to open and close the plurality of valves (56) so that the first rotary peristaltic pump (820) pumps renal therapy fluid through the renal therapy fluid flowpath for a number of first pump rotations and the second rotary peristaltic pump (830) pumps renal therapy fluid through the renal therapy fluid flowpath for a number of second pump rotations.

摘要: A dialysis system (300f) is described. The system comprises: a fresh dialysis fluid membrane pump (22, 24); a spent dialysis fluid membrane pump (26,28); and a dialysis fluid cassette (100). The dialysis fluid cassette (100) includes a first rigid portion (96) and a second rigid portion (98) which together define a chamber. A flexible sheet (346) is located between the rigid portions (96, 98) which divides the chamber in two to form a balance chamber (340) having a fresh dialysis fluid compartment (344) and a spent dialysis fluid compartment (342). The fresh dialysis fluid membrane pump (22, 24) is in fluid communication with the fresh dialysis fluid compartment (344) and the spent dialysis fluid membrane pump (26, 28) is in fluid communication with the spent dialysis fluid compartment (342).

The GUI enables an operator to begin a therapy running according to a prescription, monitor the therapy, receive status messages from the therapy and collect data for post-therapy analysis. The GUI is also configured to receive the prescription via a local or wide area mode of data communication.

摘要: A dialysis system (500) is described. The system comprises: an extracorporeal circuit (50) that includes a dialyzer (20, 30), an arterial line (44a), a venous line (44b) and a blood pump (48); and a dialysis fluid flow path (60) that includes a first balance chamber (340a), a second balance chamber (340b), a fresh dialysis fluid pump (370) and a spent dialysis fluid pump (390). The fresh dialysis fluid pump (370) is in fluid communication with first and second fresh compartments (344a, 344b) of the first and second balance chambers (340a, 340b), respectively. The first and second fresh compartments (344a, 344b) are in fluid communication with a fresh dialysate fluid inlet of the dialyzer (20, 30). The spent dialysis fluid pump (390) is in fluid communication with first and second spent compartments (342a, 342b) of the first and second balance chambers (340a, 340b), respectively. The spent dialysis fluid pump (390) is also in fluid communication with a spent dialysis fluid outlet of the dialyzer (20, 30). The system is configured to run a priming sequence that uses at least one of the fresh and spent dialysis fluid pumps to pump dialysis fluid through the dialyzer and into the extracorporeal circuit.

摘要: A dialysis cassette (100) is described. The cassette comprises a chamber formed from a first rigid portion (96) connected to a second rigid portion (98). The system comprises: a fresh dialysis fluid membrane pump (370); a spent dialysis fluid membrane pump (390); a first balance chamber (340a); and a second balance chamber (340b). The first balance chamber (340a) comprises a fresh dialysis fluid compartment (344a) that is connected fluidly to the fresh dialysis fluid membrane pump (370) and a spent dialysis fluid compartment (342a) that is connected fluidly to the spent dialysis fluid membrane pump (390). 摘要: A hemodialysis system (110) is described. The system comprises: an on-line dialysate generation source (112); a dialyzer (20, 30); a first dialysate pump (22) in fluid communication with the on-line dialysate generation source (112) for pumping dialysate to the dialyzer (20, 30); a second dialysate pump (24) in fluid communication with the on-line dialysate generation source (112) for pumping dialysate to the dialyzer (20, 30); a third dialysate pump (26) for pumping dialysate from the dialyzer (20, 30); and a fourth dialysate pump (28) for pumping dialysate from the dialyzer (20, 30). Each dialysate pump is associated with an inlet valve (56, V2, V3, V16, V18) and an outlet valve (56, V4, V5, V15, V17), and the system (110) is configured using the dialysate pumps and the inlet and outlet valves to alternately pump dialysate from the first and second dialysate pumps to the dialyzer (20, 30) and to alternately pull dialysate from the dialyzer to the third and fourth dialysate pumps.
