摘要: According to one approach, a negative electrode is provided. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode active material-containing layer including a niobium titanium composite oxide and a sulfur-containing coating. Spectral data obtained by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy on the surface of the negative electrode active material-containing layer includes a first peak with a peak top existing in the range of 208 eV to 210 eV and a second peak with a peak top existing in the range of 160 eV to 165 eV. The ratio (P2/P1) of the peak height P2 of the second peak to the peak height PI of the first peak falls within the range of 0.05 to 2.

摘要: According to one embodiment, an electrode (3, 5) is provided. The electrode (3, 5) includes an active material-containing layer (3b, 5b). The active material-containing layer (3b, 5b) includes an active material and a conductive agent. The active material contains primary particles (PP) of a niobium-titanium composite oxide. The conductive agent contains fibrous carbon (FC). The primary particles (PP) have an average particle size of 0.3 µm or more and 2 µm or less. At least a part of a surface of the primary particles is coated with the fibrous carbon. A covering ratio of the primary particles by the fibrous carbon is 0.01% or more and 40% or less.

摘要: According to one approach, an active material including a composite oxide is provided, where the composite oxide has a crystal structure including a rhenium oxide block structure that contains octahedral structures configured of oxygen and a metal element and that is configured by the octahedral structures sharing vertices. The composite oxide is represented by general formula Li a M b NbMo c O d . Here, M is one or more selected from the group consisting of Ti, V, Ta, Fe, Co, Mn, Ni, Bi, Sb, As, P, Cr, W, B, Na, K, Mg, Al, Ca, Y and Si, 0 ≤ a ≤ b+2+3c, 0 ≤ b ≤ 1.5, 0 ≤ c ≤ 0.5, and 2.33 ≤ d/(1+b+c) ≤ 2.50. In a micro-Raman spectrum with an excitation wavelength of 532 nm for the composite oxide, a difference between a shift S1 of a Raman peak P1 derived from Mo-O bonds at 640 ± 10 cm -1 and a shift S2 of a Raman peak P2 derived from Nb-O bonds at 920 ± 20 cm -1 is 285 cm -1 or more.

摘要: According to one approach, provided is an active material including monoclinic niobium titanium composite oxide particles, and carbon fibers with which at least a part of surfaces of the monoclinic niobium titanium composite oxide particles is covered. The monoclinic niobium titanium composite oxide particles satisfy 1.5 ≤ (α/β) ≤ 2.5. The monoclinic niobium titanium composite oxide particles have an average primary particle size of 0.05 pm to 2 µm. The carbon fibers contain one or more metal elements selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni, and satisfy 1/10000 ≤ (γ/σ) ≤ 1/100. The carbon fibers have an average fiber diameter in the range of 5 nm to 100 nm.

The first and second parts (3-1, 3-2) are parts of the negative electrode active material-containing layer (3, 14).
