摘要: A diagnostic test element (110) for detecting an analyte in a sample (126) of a bodily fluid, in particular in whole blood, is proposed. The diagnostic test element (110) comprises at least one test field (116) with at least one detection reagent, wherein the detection reagent is adapted to go through at least one detectable change in the presence of the analyte, in particular an optical change. The test field (116) comprises at least one detection layer (118) that comprises the detection reagent, said layer comprising particles (137). In the process, at least 90% of all particles (137) of the detection layer (118) have an actual particle size of less than 10 micrometers.
