摘要: Provided are an apparatus and a program that can determine keratoconus with a simple configuration so as to allow the apparatus and the program to be distributed widely and contribute to early diagnosis of keratoconus.
A keratometer 1 as a keratoconus determination apparatus measures, for example, a steep meridian refractive power of a cornea, a flat meridian refractive power thereof, and an angle of the meridian. In the keratometer 1, a prediction model 5 for keratoconus is stored in a memory 3 of a control unit 2. The prediction model 5 is a logistic regression model in which three parameters that are the steep meridian refractive power, the flat meridian refractive power, and a value indicating whether or not a subject eye has a with-the-rule astigmatism, are independent variables, and a probability of keratoconus is a dependent variable. The control unit 2 substitutes the three parameter values, among kerato values obtained by measurement, which are the steep meridian refractive power, the flat meridian refractive power, and the value indicating whether or not the subject eye has a with-the-rule astigmatism, into the prediction model 5, to obtain a probability of keratoconus as the output value. When the probability is greater than a cutoff value, the subject eye is determined to be suspected of having keratoconus. When the probability is less than or equal to the cutoff value, the subject eye is determined as a normal case. The determination result is outputted to a display portion 12.

摘要: Provided are an apparatus and a method, for testing a visual function of a subject, that make it possible to appropriately test the sensitivity for each color for each region of a visual field. In a state in which the subject is caused to gaze at one point 6 in a background 7, a visual target 5 for testing a color-related visual function of the subject is displayed in a peripheral region of the gaze point 6 such that the luminance of the background 7 has a numerical value included between a numerical value smaller by 10% and a numerical value greater by 10% than the luminance of the visual target 5. Then, for each measurement point 300, a threshold that is a size of the visual target 5 that determines whether or not the subject can perceive the visual target 5 is obtained for a plurality of times.

摘要: A surgical instrument (1) is provided with a rigid probe (2), and cuts off the trabecular meshwork by inserting this probe (2) into the canal of Schlemm. An inner tube portion having a cutter is equipped inside the probe, and the trabecular meshwork sucked in from a hole portion (22) is cut off by the cutter due to the movement of the inner tube portion. A protection portion (21) is formed on the tip the probe (2) and protects the outer wall of the canal of Schlemm when cutting the trabecular meshwork. According to the invention, an ophthalmic surgical instrument for glaucoma patients is provided, the surgical instrument having excellent operability and preventing cutting of parts that should not be cut off without fail.

摘要: In an eye of a patient, ciliary processes 21 project from a ciliary body 20 located in a circumferential direction about a visual axis C, toward the visual axis C. A hook portion 4 is provided which is formed so as to extend from base portions 21a of the ciliary processes 21 along the outer surfaces of the ciliary processes 21 via anterior end portions 21b of the ciliary processes 21 to base portions 21c at the opposite side. A leg portion 3 extending from the hook portion 4 toward the visual axis C is connected to the hook portion 4, and a lens 2 to be mounted in the eye of the patient is supported by the leg portion 3. The lens 2 is held in the eye of the patient in a state where the hook portion 4 is hooked or fitted to the ciliary processes 21. Accordingly, an intraocularly-mounted object and an intraocularly-mounted object holding member that are allowed to move directly in conjunction with relaxation/contraction movement of ciliary muscle, are provided.

摘要: An intraocular lens (1) that comprises a lens (2) and a pair of loop-shaped haptics (3) formed in both sides of the lens, each of said haptics (3) being provided with a hooking member (30) at the top end thereof. In the case of, for example, implanting the intraocular lens (1) in an eye in such a manner that the top end of the haptic (3) is inserted into the scleral tunnel, the hooking member (30) hooks to somewhere within the scleral tunnel. Thus, the haptic (3) is strongly restrained in the scleral tunnel, which ensures the fixation of the intraocular lens. Namely, provided is an intraocular lens that is designed so that the top end of a supporting part of the intraocular lens can be kept outside or inside of the sclera without stitching.
