    摘要: A workpiece handling system for inspection of workpieces having an elongated cylindrical segment with an enlarged feature such as a threaded fastener. A pair of rollers is inclined with respect to horizontal, and having cylindrical surfaces separated by a gap and rotated about parallel axes, with upwardly presented end surfaces. A drive arrangement rotates the rollers. A slide mechanism enables the rollers to be set at a first and second separation gaps. A workpiece transfer mechanism loads the workpiece onto the rollers, rotation of the rollers set at the first separation gap causes the workpieces to rotate. A sensor probe is positioned in close proximity to the workpiece head as the workpiece is rotated. A workpiece receiving system is provided for handling the workpieces when the rollers are set to the separation second gap, allowing the workpiece to fall under gravity between the rollers.

A plurality of screening plates (3) are spaced from each other and establish a screening surface (2), which is provided with screening slots and on top of which can be placed the material to be screened. Rotatable shafts (4) are present below the screening surface (2). The shafts (4) feature blades (5), which protrude from the shafts and extend through the screening slots to above the screening surface (2). Fraction size is adapted to be changed without removing the shafts (4), by re-grouping the blades (5) and a necessary number of the screening plates (3). The blades (5) can be grouped in such a way on the shafts (4) that at least two blades (5) are set adjacent to each other and the adjacent blades are located within the same screening slot.

    摘要: A compound disc is used to eliminate a secondary slot normally formed between adjacent shafts of a material separation screen. The compound disc comprises a primary disc joined to an associated secondary disc. The primary disc and the secondary disc each have the same shape but the secondary disc has a smaller outside perimeter and is wider. The primary disc and associated secondary disc are formed from a unitary piece of rubber. The compound discs are interleaved with oppositely aligned compound discs on adjacent shafts. In other words, the large disc is positioned on a shaft to align with a smaller disc on an adjacent shaft. The oppositely aligned and alternating arrangement between the large discs and small discs reduce problems that exist in screens that use in-line multi-sided discs.
