    摘要： A bit retention device includes a shaft having a sidewall defining a hexagonal cavity extending from a first end thereof and a ball groove extending through the sidewall and communicating with the hexagonal cavity. A ball is disposed in the ball groove and a ball spring engages the ball and biases the ball toward the first end. An actuator sleeve surrounding the shaft includes an internal ramp engaging the ball. The internal ramp includes a shallow ramp portion having a first angle of inclination with respect to a center axis and a steep ramp portion having a second angle of inclination with respect to said center axis of said shaft that is greater than the first angle of inclination. A spring biased plunger assembly is disposed in the bore for biasing a bit received in the bore in a direction toward the insertion end.

    摘要： The invention relates to a surgical instrument with a tubular shaft. The instrument comprises a shaft (12), a working rod (16) that is displaceably mounted in said shaft (12), a handle part (18) for operating the working rod (16), and connecting means which detachably connect the handle part (18) and the shaft (12) to each other. The shaft (12) can be fixed in an inner sleeve (30) of the handle part (18) in an axial direction by means of an interlocking body (42) which is inserted into a recess (44) of the shaft (12) and which is radially displaceable in the inner sleeve (30). The radial outward movement of the interlocking body (42) is limited by a stop element (68) which can also be moved into a position in which it enables the interlocking body (42) to move radially outwards. Fixing means (80, 90) are provided and allow the stop element (68) to be fixed in an enabling position. Said fixing means (80, 90) can be acted upon by the shaft (12) in such a way that this fixed state can be released through the displacement of the shaft (12) in the inner sleeve (30). The aim of the invention is to configure an instrument of this type in such a way as to simplify its structure. To this end, the fixing means comprise a fixing element (80) that is displaceably guided in the handle part (18), outside of the inner sleeve (30).

    摘要： A piercing saw machine (10) has a device (20) for clamping the saw blade (22) at the lower end of a reciprocating rod (18). A clamping sleeve (40) can axially slide and rotate on the reciprocating rod (18) and is provided at its free lower end with an inwardly projecting continuous collar (46) with a passage (48) and a radial slit (47). In the clamping position, the collar (46) is axially supported against heels (49, 50) of the saw blade (22) and thus pushes the saw blade clamping end (25) against the lower front face of the reciprocating rod (18) or against an elastic separator (22). In order to obtain a piercing saw machine (10) that is easier and safer to use, locking means are provided for retaining the clamping sleeve (40) in relation to the reciprocating rod (18) in the saw blade (22) releasing position. When the saw blade (22) is set in and moved in its clamped position, the locking means release again the clamping sleeve (40).
