    摘要： Various embodiments facilitate sharing program content between computing devices that utilize different media formats. In one embodiment, a media format transcoder facilitates content sharing between a receiving device, such as a set-top box, and a content player, the receiving device providing a program as data formatted in a first media format. The media format transcoder obtains from the receiving device the data formatted in the first media format, transcodes the received data into data formatted in a second media format that is compatible with the content player, and causes the content player to present the program by transmitting the transcoded data to the content player. The control unit (5) performs CRC calculations regarding a plurality of pieces of specific data included in a broadcast wave signal selected by the tuner (2). Based on comparison of the calculation results with CRC data included in the plurality ofpieces ofspecific data, the control unit (5) controls the display unit (8) so that label information regarding a currently received program is displayed. Further, when a reception state ofthe currently selected broadcast wave signal falls below a given level (S16), the control unit (5) loads a plurality ofpieces ofspecific data, performs the CRC calculation regarding each piece ofspecific data, and controls the display means (8) based on the calculation results so that the currently displayed label information is maintained or updated.

On the other hand, the data receiving device detects that output of the specified image included in the broadcasting content is avoided.     摘要： In accordance with an embodiment, a best-effort service is divided into packets for best-effort digital broadcast transmission. The packets are encapsulated with an encapsulation protocol that uses a packet order defining field. The encapsulated packets are inserted into an unused portion of a slot of a digital broadcast transmission frame. Then, the encapsulated packets are repeatedly inserted into the unused portion of the slot of the digital broadcast transmission frame in a packet-carousel fashion. And the transmission frame is digitally broadcast. In accordance with an embodiment, a digital broadcast transmission is received. Encapsulated packets that have been repeatedly broadcast in a packet-carousel fashion are accessed from a best-effort portion of a digital broadcast transmission frame slot. And a best-effort service is composed from the encapsulated packets by combining the encapsulated packets in an order based on a packet order defining field of the encapsulated packets.
