    摘要: The present invention relates to a cable connector assembly (10) for electrically connecting cables, comprising: two sub-assemblies (12A, 12B) being movable in translation relative to each other along a clamping direction (D). Each of the two sub-assemblies (12A, 12B) is pivotable relative to a respective pivot axis perpendicular to the clamping direction (D). It comprises at least one tightening means (200) for tightening the two sub-assemblies (12A, 12B) along the clamping direction (D) such that a first clamping region (R1) is formed between the two sub-assemblies (12A, 12B) for receiving and clamping at least a cable. Each of the two sub-assemblies (12A, 12B) comprises a main housing (14) and a clamping part (16), said clamping part (16) being configured to be at least partially housed within the respective main housing (14), and said clamping part (16) being movable in translation relative to respective main housing (14) along the clamping direction (D) such that, for each sub-assemblies (12A, 12B), a secondary clamping region (R2A, R2B) is formed between the clamping part (16) and the main housing (14) for receiving and clamping at least a cable.

    摘要: In parallel screw connections (3), which are preferably used in series terminals, the transmission of force from the connection screw (32) to electric conductors (41) which have different diameters is not always optimal. As a solution, the clamping element (33) is mounted in or on the connection housing (31) both in a movable manner as well as in a rotational manner about a rotational axis (333). By screwing the connection screw (32), the clamping element (33) is moved in the direction of the electric conductor (41), mechanically contacts the electric conductor (41), is rotated by further screwing the connection screw (32) about the rotational axis (333), and thus presses the electric conductor (41) against the busbar (2) with a corresponding degree of force. In this manner, an optimal pressing force is ensured independently of the respective diameter of the electric conductor (41).

The conductor-receiving portions (26, 20) are wrapped in reverse directions with respect to the axis of rotation (A) of the connector to reduce any tendency of the inner element to bind or stick in the outer element. The connector includes conductor receiving passages or openings (30, 32) for both a larger conductor such as a ground rod (C1) and a smaller conductor such as a ground wire (C2). The conductor receiving openings are oval for the ground rod and circular for the ground wire such that the connector distorts the ground wire to a greater extent than it distorts the ground rod as the connector is closed.

    摘要: A cable clamp includes first and second jaws, each having a respective cable clamping portion and tail. The first jaw is pivotably mounted to the second jaw to move between a cable receiving open position, in which a cable can be inserted between the cable clamping portions, and a cable clamping closed position, in which the cable is clamped between the cable clamping portions. A first opening is formed in one of the tails, and a raised boss is formed on the other of the tails. This raised boss is positioned to fit within the first opening when the jaws are in the closed position, and the raised boss includes a threaded opening. A threaded fastener is mounted in the threaded opening, and this threaded fastener applies closing forces on the tails as the threaded fastener is rotated into the threaded opening, thereby moving the jaws to the closed position.
