An antenna device is provided in which a common mode current does not flow in a coaxial cable. The coaxial cable is uprighted at the end of the base plate and bent toward the notched portion of the cover so that the connector reaches to the notched portion. A short-circuit stub structure is provided in such a manner that a part of the outer sheath of the coaxial cable is removed to expose the outer conductor and a ring-shaped metal terminal is crimped to the exposed outer conductor. The ring-shaped metal terminal is fixed by using a screw to an acceptance member made of a stainless steel provided on the base plate. The terminal is provided at the position within 0.25λ from the feeding point of the ground antenna element.

A light adjuster according to which the wavelength dependence of the transmissivity when a voltage is not being applied can be reduced, and a laminated glass containing the light adjuster. The light adjuster 100 is comprised of a single liquid crystal layer 104, a pair of transparent electrically conductive films 106a and 106b having the liquid crystal layer 104 therebetween, and a pair of PET films 105a and 105b bonded respectively to outer surfaces of the pair of transparent electrically conductive films. The liquid crystal layer 104 is comprised of a transparent polymer film 101 that is made of a latex and has a large number of voids therein. Each of the voids is filled with nematic liquid crystalline rod-like molecules 102, thus forming a liquid crystal capsule 103. When the light adjuster 100 is in a non-transparent state, the transmissivity exhibits no sudden increase over a wavelength region from 380 nm to 780 nm, the difference between the maximum transmissivity and the minimum transmissivity over this wavelength region being not more than 3%.

Rear glass is provided with a patch-like radiation conductor and a first ground conductor surrounding the patch-like radiation conductor. An electronic circuit unit includes a base plate fixed on the rear glass; a frame body which houses a circuit substrate and is fixed on the base plate; and a cover for covering the frame body. One surface of the circuit substrate defines a component-holding surface which is connected with a second end of a feeder cable connected with the radiation conductor and the first ground conductor. The other surface of the circuit substrate is provided with a second ground conductor so as to function as a radio-wave reflective surface. The radio-wave reflective surface faces the radiation conductor and the first ground conductor disposed on the rear glass in a manner such that the radio-wave reflective surface is separated from the radiation conductor and the first ground conductor by a predetermined distance.

The invention provides a substrate (1) with a film (5), in which functional particles are dispersed, and whose transparency is maintained even when heated. The film (5) includes a matrix including an alkali metal oxide and a silicon oxide, and functional particles dispersed in the matrix is formed on a substrate. The alkali metal oxide includes at least sodium, and lithium and/or potassium. A mole ratio R 2 O/SiO 2 of the alkali metal oxide to the silicon oxide included in the film is in a range of 17/100 to 22/100. The haze ratio of this substrate with a film stays low even when heated.

The present invention provides a thin film-forming method by which, even when a thin film containing a crystalline metal oxide as the main component is formed over a wide area within a short time utilizing a thermal decomposition method, the thickness of the thin film becomes relatively uniform. A thin film-forming method of the present invention includes forming a thin film using a raw material containing a chloride of a metal, and prior to the forming of the thin film, 1) disposing metal-containing particles on the substrate, or 2) forming, at a film deposition rate slower than a film deposition rate for the thin film, a metal-containing thin film on the substrate, and wherein, in the case of the step 2), the thin film containing the metal oxide as the main component is directly formed on the metal-containing thin film.

The present invention provides a method of forming a thin film containing a metal oxide as the main component, the film thickness of which is relatively uniform, at a high film deposition rate over a wide area and over a long time. The present invention is a method for forming a thin film containing a metal oxide as the main component on a substrate using a mixed gas stream containing a metal chloride, an oxidizing material, and hydrogen chloride, by a thermal decomposition method at a film deposition rate of 4500 nm/min. or greater, performing at least one selected from: 1) prior to mixing the metal chloride and the oxidizing material in the mixed gas stream, contacting hydrogen chloride with at least one selected from the metal chloride and the oxidizing material, and 2) forming a buffer layer in advance on a surface of the substrate on which the thin film containing a metal oxide as the main component is to be formed.
