A single-side embossed color steel sheet, and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The steel sheet comprises a steel sheet substrate, a zinc or zinc alloy-plated layer, a non-chromate or chromate pretreated layer, a primary coat paint layer of modified epoxy or modified polyester, a color base paint layer, a printed layer, and a top coat clear paint layer. The color base paint layer comprises a polyester resin as a main resin, a melamine resin as a crosslink resin, a crosslink accelerator, other additives, solvent, etc. The printed layer exhibits a feeling of solidity with various feelings of texture and colors. The top coat clear paint layer serves to protect the printed layer from contaminants. The color steel sheet exhibits a remarkably enhanced feeling of solidity at an irregular surface thereof, and has enhanced contaminant resistance properties and environmental friendliness, thereby satisfying requirements for aesthetic design and functionality of products.

A process for improving the impact resistance of a coated plastic substrate, particularly those polymers having a high refractive index, comprising applying an aqueous polyurethane dispersion as a primer layer to at least one surface of the plastic substrate, at least partially curing the aqueous polyurethane dispersion by air drying at ambient temperature, applying a coating composition over the polyurethane primer layer, and curing the coating composition to form an abrasion resistant hard coat. Preferably, the aqueous polyurethane dispersion is air dried at ambient temperature for less than one hour before application of the abrasion resistant coating composition. The process provides an impact enhancing, abrasion resistant coating system having strong interfacial adhesion that is preferably transparent for application onto preferably transparent plastic articles, such as ophthalmic lenses and safety eye wear.

Système et procédé de traitement de surfaces permettant de couvrir les graffiti existants et de faciliter l'enlèvement des graffiti tracés par la suite. Un époxy à base d'eau à deux composants est d'abord appliqué sur la surface. Après le séchage, un système de revêtement superficiel comprenant un composant de couleur à base d'uréthane aliphatique, un catalyseur et un durcisseur est appliqué directement sur l'epoxy et laissé sécher. Lorsque le revêtement est sec, tout graffiti appliqué par la suite peut être éliminé à l'aide d'un détergent contenant un solvant.
