Abstract:
A head mounted display and a control method thereof are discussed. The head mounted display is designed to adjust an audio output and a video output of the head mounted display in relation to each other using the control method.
Abstract:
An electronic audio host device has an audio accessory connector with multiple pins. An ultrasonic test signal source has an output coupled to a first pin of the connector. A programmable switch circuit couples a second or third pin of the connector, to a ground of the audio host device. A controller measures a signal on one of the pins of the connector while the test signal source is on, and compares the measured signal to a predetermined, stored signature. The signature is associated with one of several different accessory plug pin assignments for the connector, which can be configured using the programmable switch circuit. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method for controlling a terminal by using a headset wire, which has a specific region made of capacitance material and is connected to the terminal. The method includes: when a current is detected (101, 201) in the specific region of the headset wire, recognizing (202) a user's gesture based on the current; acquiring (102) a control instruction corresponding to the user's gesture; and executing (103) the control instruction. According to the present disclosure, when a current is detected in the specific region of the headset wire, a user's gesture is recognized based on the current, a control instruction corresponding to the user's gesture is acquired, and the control instruction is executed to realize controlling of the terminal. In the whole procedure, the user only needs to touch the specific region of the headset wire without using a pressure button to produce current signal, thereby the operation is convenient and fast.
Abstract:
A wearable electronic device (100) comprises a sensor (1) providing a sensor signal (s1), which sensor (1) is one of a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor. A control unit (3) determines, subject to at least the sensor signal (s1), if the wearable electronic device (100) is worn by a user, and provides an output signal (t1) indicative of a result of the determination.

Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and computer program products provide an improved technique for downloading or otherwise providing content to an earpiece. In this regard, a method may be provided that includes determining a privacy filter and content selection rules associated with an earpiece. The method may also cause content to be provided to the earpiece in accordance with the privacy filter and the content selection rules for storage by the earpiece. The content may be caused to be provided in advance of playback by the earpiece so as to allow for storage of the content by the earpiece. The method may also include causing control signals to be subsequently provided to the earpiece during playback.
Abstract:
A mobile telephone (1) includes a link establishment detection module (18) that detects establishment of a link with Bluetooth headphones (2), an application setting check module (17) that checks whether an application (12) to be started is set to inhibit playback through the Bluetooth headphones (2), a link termination control module (19) that terminates a link with the Bluetooth headphones (2) when establishment of the link with the Bluetooth headphones (2) is detected and setting to inhibit playback through the Bluetooth headphones (2) for the application (12) to be started is recognized, and a speaker control module (20) that switches output of the speaker (16) to mute when a link is terminated by the link termination control module (19).
Abstract:
An audio device prevents an excessive volume output in a case such as when a set of headphones is replaced or a power supply is turned ON from OFF. A mute control circuit includes a switch that detects insertion of a headphone plug and a switch that detects a volume position. When no insertion of a headphone plug is detected, a mute mode is activated to output no audio signals. When insertion of a headphone plug is detected and it is not detected that the volume position is set at a mute position or near to the mute position, the mute mode is maintained, while when it is detected that the volume position is set at the mute position or near to the mute position, the mute mode is canceled.
