During periods when only voice information is to be transmitted, the analog voice information is sampled at a first sampling rate, thus providing a digitized voice rate equal to the transmission rate capability of the transmission channel. 摘要： To uniformly and economically disperse liquids, in the form of sprays of droplets, on surfaces of particles, the particles are lifted in a hollow drum by rotation of the drum about a near horizontal axis. Inside the drum, cantilevered non-rotating shafts position one or more powered slightly conical discs selectively tiltable to disperse sprays of droplets from a central area, in which particles are lifted while centrifugally held to the drum wall and then fall freely back to the wall to start another cycle. The cycles continue until the particles have a desired quantity of liquid on all their surfaces, when the particles leave the drum at an end opposite their entry end. Wood particles can be treated with liquid resin binders, and/or wax emulsions and subsequently formed into boards.

A supply pipe or pipes (12, 30) convey other liquids and/or gases from separate sources or from above the liquid pool into the venturi for mixing with the liquid. The supply pipes can extend through the pool and be perforated (22) to tend to maintain the level of the pool. Associated with the venturi are pressure sensors (40, 41) for measuring flow and a densiometer (52) permitting mass flow rate measurement of gas and liquid phases. 摘要： Large scale integrated circuits are fabricated using redundant circuit elements to replace defective circuit elements by discretionary interconnect changes as determined by fine-grain testing of the integrated circuits after the logic units (such as individual transistors or logic gates) are fabricated and before they are electrically interconnected. The redundant circuit elements are then interconnected to non-defective circuit elements by one of two methods. In the first method a stepper-scanner apparatus modified to expose most of a resist layer defines the interconnect circuitry, but is shuttered-off over the discretionary interconnect changes. Then the discretionary interconnect changes are exposed by a conventional direct write on wafer pattern generation apparatus. In the second method, the interconnect patterning is accomplished by first fabricating a fixed custom mask defining the interconnect layer for a particular lot size (such as 100) of wafers. The fixed mask is fabricated after each wafer of the lot has been tested, and incorporates all the discretionary changes required to avoid interconnection to each defective circuit element in each of the wafers. The fixed custom mask is then used to expose the resist layer defining the interconnect circuitry for each of the 100 wafers.
