    摘要: This transformer core comprises superposed groups of amorphous steel strip wrapped about the core window, each group comprising an inner section and an outer section disposed in superposed relationship, and each section comprising many thin layers of amorphous steel strip. Each of the layers in a section has a length dimension measured between the transversely-extending edges of the layer located at opposite ends of the section. The layers in the inner section of a group have substantially equal lengths, and the layers in the outer section of said group have substantially equal lengths of a greater value than the lengths of the layers in the inner section. At one end of each group the transversely-extending edges of all the layers in said group are substantially aligned to form a smooth edge. At the other end of the group (i) the transversely-extending edges of the layers in the inner section are disposed to form a beveled edge for the inner section, (ii) the transversely-extending edges of the layers in the outer section are disposed to form a beveled edge for the outer section, and (iii) the beveled edge of the outer section overlaps the beveled edge of the inner section.

    摘要: There is provided a holding mechanism for an electromagnetic core which has a predetermined number of limbs, e.g. three limbs, arranged around a central axis. The holding mechanism comprises a hub having an axis. The hub comprises a plurality of apertures corresponding to the predetermined number of limbs of the electromagnetic core, i.e. an aperture in the hub per limb of the electromagnetic core. Each of the apertures is configured to receive an end portion of a respective limb radially around the axis. The axis of the hub is coincident with the central axis of the electromagnetic core when the predetermined number of limbs of the electromagnetic core are received in the plurality of apertures. The holding mechanism comprises a plurality of jaws corresponding to the predetermined number of limbs, i.e. a jaw per limb of the electromagnetic core. Each of the jaws is configured to retain the end portion of a respective limb in a respective aperture when the predetermined number of limbs are received in the plurality of apertures. The holding mechanism comprises an adjustment mechanism configured to adjustably move the plurality of jaws in a radial direction with respect to the axis of the hub. Accordingly, when the predetermined number of limbs are received in the plurality of apertures, adjustment of the adjustment mechanism causes each limb to move radially towards or away from the axis of the hub, and hence the central axis of the electromagnetic core.
