The column (3) is carried by a base section (9) which is provided with wheels (14) to allow the infant warmer (1) to be easily transported. The base section (9) includes an automated height adjustment mechanism which allows a user to easily adjust the height of the support structure (5) by raising or lowering the column (3). The infant warmer (1) is made in a modular fashion to be easily customised for any particular environment or special requirement by constructing the column (3) from a "U" shaped extrusion which allows various Healthcare modules (19) to be inserted as required to suit particular requirements.
