Using the present invention, IV sites may be checked or changed without pulling up or down and possibly pulling the IV out. The cover also can secure gauze or other wound coverings over the wound site without use of adhesives on the patient's skin. Various sizes of snag-free fasteners, in accordance with the present invention, are used to simplify and expedite the process of checking the site. The stabilizing cover is made of fabric that is flexible, comfortable and disposable.
