The latter is programmed so as to generate control signals for the probe drive to extend or retract the probe and thereby adjust the force exerted by the probe on the workpiece, so as to at least in part cancel the net force exerted by the workpiece respectively on the headstock and tailstock bearings.

Ausschalten oder zur Ver­änderung dessen Drehzahl abgegeben wird. Eine Lüfter­beeinflussung ist auch durch einen programmierten Schaltbefehl (Maschinenprogramm) möglich.
