摘要: In a large wheeled bin (1) of the type commonly used for refuse collection a vertical divider (4) is inserted dividing the bin into two compartments (5 and 6) for the collection of different types of recyclable material. The planar divider (4) has lugs (8) protruding through holes in the side walls (9) of the bin, the lugs being secured by caps (10) engaged over the lugs. A description of the barbed engagement of the caps (10) with the lugs (8) is given together with an embodiment in which there are no caps (8) but the divider is held in place by deformation of the side walls (9) due to a convex profile on the lower edge of the divider (4).

摘要: A method for processing domestic garbage characterized by the steps of sorting the garbage into two or more classes and placing each class into a unified domestic container (10). The container (10) is divided into a respective number of compartments (12, 14). The containers (12, 14) are transferred to a garbage dump site and dismembered into their compartments. Each compartment (12, 14) is transferred to its respective garbage class treatment location.

摘要: In this rubbish collector, the inside of which is divided into several compartments by inner walls (2, 5) and in which the outer walls have apertures (4) forming accesses to these compartments limited by the inner walls (5) and the plane (8), the flaps (7) forming the upper closing surfaces (7) are hinged at the peak (6) and the flaps (1) forming the floor (1) are hinged at the bottom of the inner walls (2) and rest obliquely to the bottom of the outer walls on projections (3) therefrom, thus making the inner walls (2) terminating beneath the upper edge of the collector vertically movable. To operate the rubbish collector there is also at least one spindle (9) passing through the outer walls of the collector about which the latter can be rotated through 360°.

摘要: The invention concerns a gelling material (10) for gelling aqueous fluids, medical wastes containing aqueous fluids, body fluids collected by suction in body fluid suction equipment. The gelling material (10) comprises a water-absorbent composed of a water-absorbing resin (3) in the form of powders or granules, the water-absorbent being wrapped in water-disintegrating paper (1) or a water-soluble film (2) or a laminate sheet obtained by laminating water-disintegrating paper (1) and a water-soluble film (2). The invention also concerns a method of gelling aqueous fluid and medical waste by adding the gelling material (10) to the aqueous fluid or medical waste. The aqueous fluid or medical waste can be gelled conveniently and in a short period of time. The gel (10) thus produced never releases absorbed fluid even when an external pressure is applied to it.
Thus, the invention is useful for the treatment of aqueous fluids such as sludge-like wastes produced in plants and also of medical wastes and body fluids.

摘要: A disposable container (100) for solid animal waste products comprising a waterproof flexible bag (102), a locking support structure (114), a closure strip (121), and a removable spatula (127). The support structure has a locking mechanism consisting of a center stay (137) located opposite a pair of hinged support (153a, 153b) that maintain the bag mouth in an open configuration when the bag is in use. The locking support structure provides for accurate placement of solid animal waste into the bag during use, and the convenient collapsibility after use. The disposable container is economical to manufacture, and is also disposable, portable, sanitary, collapsible, and sealable. The disposable container also may be reopened several consecutive times without destroying the integrity of the locking support structure.

摘要: Containers of the type having a rigid outer casing 4 accommodating an inner liner 2 are disposed of by removing the outer casing 4, expelling air remaining in the liner 2, and placing the liner 2 in a waste receptacle 10. The casing 4 is disposed of separately. When full, the waste receptacle 10 is disposed of in its entirety by means appropriate to the nature of the former contents of the containers. For example, disposal of the receptacle 10 may be undertaken by specialist contractors. This relieves the users of the containers (which may formerly contain herbicide) from the responsibility of disposing of them safely.
