The subsea electrical unit has a first electric power connection for receiving electric power for operating the subsea electrical unit and a second electric power connection towards a further subsea electrical unit. A line insulation monitor is coupled to the second electric power connection. A control unit is adapted to determine whether electric power is present on the second electric power connection, and is further adapted to disconnect the line insulation monitor form the second electric power connection if it determines that power is present on the second electric power connection.

摘要: An assembly for disconnecting portions of a downhole tubular string, such as a drill stem or drill string, and removing an upper portion of the tubular string from the lower stuck portion in a well, includes a connection between joints of two portions of the tubular string. The assembly includes two tubular members and an inner sleeve having two splines each with different angular pitches or teeth counts. The assembly may include a rotary shouldered threaded connection, wherein the two tubular portions are disconnectable at the rotary shouldered threaded connection in the assembly. The assembly may include a sleeve lock, a selective no-go for landing in a profile, and a selectively deployable unlocking and unblocking tool for activating the assembly. The assembly may include connectable cylindrical members other than downhole tubulars.

摘要: Provided are coated oil and gas well production devices and methods of making and using such coated devices. In one form, the coated oil and gas well production device includes an oil and gas well production device including one or more bodies, and a coating on at least a portion of the one or more bodies, wherein the coating is chosen from an amorphous alloy, a heat-treated electroless or electro plated based nickel-phosphorous composite with a phosphorous content greater than 12 wt %, graphite, MoS2, WS2, a fullerene based composite, a boride based cermet, a quasicrystalline material, a diamond based material, diamond-like-carbon (DLC), boron nitride, and combinations thereof. The coated oil and gas well production devices may provide for reduced friction, wear, corrosion, erosion, and deposits for well construction, completion and production of oil and gas.

The system may include a turbine having a shaft extending therefrom, in which the turbine is configured to convert energy from a fluid received therein into rotational energy for the shaft. The system may further include a pumping system coupled to the shaft of the turbine, in which the pumping system includes one or more driving devices coupled to one or more displacement units. The displacement units may have a cavity formed therein, in which the cavity is configured to receive a fluid therein. The driving devices may then be configured to drive the displacement units such that the fluid is received within the cavity of the displacement units.
