摘要： A fire-resistant spacer for separating tiled or slatted roof structures of adjoining buildings or building sections comprises at least one sheet of intumescent material (1) and at least one sheet of deformable material (2) sealed within an envelope of flexible material (3), and a rib (4) of flexible cellular fire-retardant foam or sponge in contact with an exposed surface of the envelope (3) between opposed side edges thereof. The arrangement is such that in use the sides of the sealed envelope (3) in which the intumescent material is present extend to positions at which they can be secured to neighbouring roof structure (preferably joists) of adjoining buildings or building sections with the rib (4) extending between these neighbouring structures and to a height at least equal to the height of neighbouring tile battens (6) of the roof structures, the sealed envelope (3) and rib (4) being subsequently covered by roof tiles (8).

摘要： A surface mounted fire and smoke seal comprises a plastics mounting strip (1) which is turned through a right angle along one of its sides to define an upstanding wall (2). A first relatively flexible plastics strip (3) extends downwardly from the upper margin of the wall and is inclined towards the mounting strip at an angle approximating to 45 DEG to the wall. A second relatively flexible plastics strip (4) is attached to the floor of the mounting strip and is inclined upwardly therefrom at an angle approximating to 45 DEG thereto. The two flexible strips lie in substantially the same plane with a spacing between their free edges or with their free edges in contact.

摘要： A fire resistant cover for an electrical fitting to be recessed into a supporting structure comprises a fabric hood coated or impregnated with a liquid based intumescent material and includes a top (2) supported by one or more upstanding side walls (1) and a plurality of fabric pieces (3) which extend inwardly from the lower margin of the or each side wall (1). The top (2) of the cover includes a layer (5) of intumescent material which is formed with a plurality of apertures through one of which electrical wiring to the fitting can pass. Complementary apertures are formed in the top of the cover, and means are provided for connecting the inwardly extending material pieces (3) to adjoining surfaces of the structure in which the electrical fitting is recessed.

摘要： An insulated fireproofed barrier or curtain comprises a first fabric sheet impregnated or coated with a quantity of intumescent material, a first sheet of foil having a reflective and relatively non-reflective surface positioned with its reflective surface in contact with one side of the first fabric sheet, a non-inflammable fibrous heat insulation layer contacted on one side by the non-reflective surface of the first foil sheet, a second foil sheet having a reflective and a relatively non-reflective surface positioned with its non-reflective surface in contact with the fibrous heat insulation layer and a second fabric sheet impregnated or coated with a quantity of intumescent material positioned with its innermost surface in contact with the reflective surface of the second foil sheet. The two fabric sheets defining the outer coverings of the barrier or curtain.
