    摘要: A two-part flame-retardant, a flame-retardant oriented strand (OSB) and method for forming a flame-retardant OSB is provided. The two-part flame-retardant composition includes an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble flame-retardant and a flame-retardant powder that is incorporated into an oriented strand board without substantially affecting the mechanical properties of the oriented strand board. The method includes applying the aqueous solution containing a water-soluble flame-retardant to an oriented strand board furnish and applying a flame-retardant powder to the wetted furnish, without requiring an additional drying step.

    摘要: Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein neuartiges Reaktionssystem zur Intumeszenz-Beschichtung. Intumeszenz-Beschichtungen werden insbesondere zum Brandschutz von metallischen Bauteilen, wie Trägern im Hochbau eingesetzt. Dabei werden diese Beschichtungen in einem Brandfall reaktiv aufgeschäumt und bilden so eine feuerfeste Isolierschicht mit geringer Wärmeleitfähigkeit auf dem Metallträger und verzögert durch die damit entstehende Isolierung ein frühzeitiges, thermisch induziertes Versagen dieses Bauteils.
    Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft dabei insbesondere Harzsysteme mit verbesserter Kälteflexibilität, die unter Vermeidung der sonst in Harzsystemen üblichen Polymerkomponenten gute Metallhaftung und Stoßfestigkeit auch bei niedrigen Temperaturen gewährleisten.
