    摘要: A system for conveying motion from a non-sterilizable component to a sterilizable component is provided. Motion is conveyed through the coupling of a ferromagnetic source in the non-sterilizable component to a ferromagnetic sink attached to the sterilizable component. The ferromagnetic sink may be configured as an adapter that can be further coupled to tools for advancing or manipulating objects in a sterile field. A system for surgical implantation medical devices comprising an insertion tool is also provided. The insertion tool may be configured for holding and precise placement of cochlear implants during surgery. The inventive system allows for the safe and precise placement of cochlear implants in patients in a context where performing this procedure manually without the inventive device is beyond the limits of human dexterity. The insertion tool for placement of cochlear implants may comprise a non-sterile handpiece incorporating electrical and mechanical components, an element for coupling the handpiece to a fine adjustment apparatus, a sterile adapter and a clip portion for holding a cochlear implant. Provided is thus an inventive system that ensures quality cochlear implant insertion through safe and precise placement of cochlear implants in a manner that goes beyond the limits of ordinary human dexterity.
