The handle portion being defined by two opposite side walls of the container and communicating, via a duct defined by the side walls, with an opening formed in one of the side walls. The method including the steps of supplying, at a gas filling station, a gas to the handle portion via the opening and the duct, blocking the duct by a squeezing action to retain the gas supplied to the handle portion, transporting the container to a sealing station while maintaining the squeezing action and, at said sealing station, sealing the duct while maintaining the squeezing action, so as to permanently enclose the gas in the handle portion. The disclosure further concerns a container of a collapsible type.

The invention relates to a device for producing packages (2) from an M-folded material web (3), comprising a rotatable tool holder (4) supporting a plurality of peripherally arranged tools (5). The tools (5) each comprise a base element (6) and an engagement element (7) which is arranged such that it is pivotable relative to this base element, which base elements (6) form a circumferential outer surface (8) of the tool holder (4), over which circumferential outer surface (8) the said material web (3) can be passed. The tool holder (4) is arranged, upon rotation, to move the tools (5) along a work path (WP) along which they can be brought into engagement with the material web (3) by lowering of the said engagement element (7) for the connection of mutually facing wall portions of the material web (3) along connecting portions (10) which define the said packages (2), and a return path (RP) along which the tools (5) can be brought out of engagement with the material web (3) by raising of the said engagement element (7). Each tool (5) is arranged to be moved together with the material web (3) when it is moved along the said work path (WP), and each tool, when engaging with the said material web (3), is arranged to participate in the production of at least two packages (2). Each pair of adjacent tools (5) are arranged for the joint production of one package (2). The invention also relates to a filling machine which is arranged to fill a package produced in such a device.

he present invention relates to a filling machine (10) for filling pack- ages (2).The filling machine (10) comprises a filling chamber (12), in which packages (2) are filled by transferring liquid contents to the packages (2) by means of a filling nozzle (27), a package inlet (14), through which the unfilled packages (2) enter the filling chamber (12), a package outlet (16), through which the filled packages (2) leave the filling chamber (12), a dehumidifier (30), which is arranged to dehumidify air for providing dried air, and an air supply unit (34), which is arranged to produce an air flow through the filling chamber (12) by means of a continuous supply of said dried air via an air intake(36).Said air supply unit (34) is adapted to supply the dried air in such an amount that an excess pressure is created in the filling chamber (12) and that the air in the filling chamber (12) is replaced 25-250 times per hour, the air that is supplied to the filling chamber (12) being adapted to escape from the filling chamber (12) via the package inlet (14) and/or via the package outlet (16), whereby the air flow produced by the dried air takes up water present in the filling chamber (12), thus providing a hygienic environment which inhibits the growth of microorganisms. The invention further comprises a method for providing a hygienic environment in a filling chamber (12) of the filling machine (10).
