摘要: An apparatus (1) for a thrust reverser actuation system ("TRAS"), the apparatus comprising:
an input shaft (10);
a first component (20) located concentrically around the input shaft (10);
a second component (30) located concentrically around the first component (20);
a first ballscrew mechanism (22) between the input shaft (10) and the first component (20), and configured such that rotational movement of the input shaft (10) causes a translational movement of the first component (20) via the first ballscrew mechanism (22); and
a second ballscrew mechanism (32) between the first component (20) and the second component (30), and configured such that rotational movement of the first component (20) causes a translational movement of the second component (30) via the second ballscrew mechanism (32).-

摘要: An actuator assembly comprising: a compliant actuator shaft (12) having an axis (A) and a first end (12a) and a second end (12b); a drive assembly (30, 32, 34) provided at the first end of the compliant actuator shaft to cause rotation of the compliant actuator shaft about the axis; an overtravel stop mechanism (20) comprising: a screw shaft (14), coaxial with the compliant actuator shaft (12), and mounted to and arranged to rotate with the second end of the compliant actuator shaft, the screw shaft having an outer thread (16) extending in the axial direction; a nut (60) threadedly mounted to the outer thread (16) of the screw shaft and arranged to move axially relative to the screw shaft as the screw shaft rotates; a first stop (40a) fixed to and radially extending from the screw shaft to define the axial limit of movement of the nut relative to the screw shaft, in a first axial direction, as the screw shaft rotates, by abutment of the nut (60) against the first stop (40a); and wherein the first end (12a) of the compliant actuator shaft (12) is provided with a first number n of splines (36) for spline engagement with the drive assembly and the second end (12b) of the compliant actuator shaft is provided with a second number of splines (38), the second number being one spline more than the first number of splines, for spline engagement with the screw shaft.

A plurality of balls are received within a helical passageway defined between the ballscrew and ballnut. The actuator comprises a lubricant housing comprising a pair of opposed axially spaced walls on an actuator-side and a drive-side of the lubricant housing respectively. The actuator rod extends through the actuator-side wall, wherein the axially spaced walls are joined by at least one axially extending wall, the walls together defining an enclosed bore. A portion of the ballscrew, ballnut and actuator rod are disposed within the bore, and the bore is partially filled with a volume of oil lubricant.

摘要: A lock system (20) for a component (10) of a thrust reverser actuation system ("TRAS"), comprising a lock member (22) translatable between a locked position, in which the lock member (22) prevents movement of the thrust reverser component (10), and an unlocked position, in which the lock member (22) allows movement of the thrust reverser component (10) to deploy the thrust reverser actuation system. The actuator (20) comprises a screw shaft (30) and a nut (40) translatable along the screw shaft (30) and operatively connected to the lock member (22). Rotational movement of one of the screw shaft (30) and the nut (40) causes the nut (40) to translate along the screw shaft (30) and, in turn, the lock member (22) to move between its locked position and its unlocked position. Furthermore, a corresponding method of preventing deployment of an aircraft thrust reverser is disclosed.
