In a hydraulically driven machine with two vertical differential cylinders as drive cylinders arranged at a mutual lateral distance on side cheeks of the machine frame, the control components are two follow-up control valves with an electrically controlled predetermined reference position for an upper tool and a mechanical actual position indication which have a locking basic setting and two alternative through-flow settings which are allocated to the fast and load forward action directed downwards on the workpiece and the return action directed away from the workpiece. A piston area of the drive cylinder pistons limit an upper drive pressure chamber and a smaller piston area limits a lower drive pressure chamber of the drive cylinders through which axially passes the piston rod concerned to which the upper tool is connected. In fast forward action the weight of the upper tool and the piston is used as the driving power, whereby the pressure medium flows into the upper drive pressure chamber via inlet valves. In load forward action high pressure is applied to the upper drive pressure chambers. On return action the pressure in the upper drive pressure chambers is relieved via pressure-controlled outlet valves.

A process is disclosed for controlling the revolutions of the impression cylinder (29) of a printing machine (10). The coordinate driving units (52, 53), which are designed as valve controlled (49, 51) hydrocylinders (42, 47), are operated according to a play-back process according to which the coordinate driving units (52, 53) are operated according to a follow-up process in which position set values are electrically preregulated and mechanical real values are fed back. The slowing down path ΔS (contouring error) is continuously measured at least during the last revolution of the pressure roller (29), so that when a threshold value ΔSmax is exceeded, the tracking speed VB is reduced or a transition to an intermediate revolution curve occurs. A printing machine for carrying out the process is also disclosed.

Les pistons des cylindres d'entraînement délimitent avec une surface de piston une chambre supérieure de compression d'entraînement et avec une surface plus petite de piston une chambre inférieure de compression d'entraînement des cylindres d'entraînement, ces chambres étant traversées axialement par la tige correspondante de piston avec laquelle l'outil supérieur est relié. Dans le mode de fonctionnement à avance rapide, le poids de l'outil supérieur et du piston sont utilisés comme force d'entraînement et du milieu sous pression s'écoule à travers des soupapes d'apport dans les chambres supérieures de compression d'entraînement. Dans le mode de fonctionnement à avance en charge, une pression élevée s'exerce dans les chambres supérieures de compression d'entraînement. Pendant le retour en arrière, la pression dans les chambres supérieures de compression d'entraînement est déchargée à travers des soupapes d'écoulement commandées par pression.

In a hydraulic drive unit having a high-power hydraulic motor as the actuator, a main control valve, a hydraulic servo drive for actuating the main control valve and a tracking regulator valve which is provided for controlling the servo drive and operates by electromotive setting of a nominal position value and by mechanical feedback of the corresponding actual values, the tracking regulator valve (19) and the main control valve (16) are in the form of piston slide valves. The piston (87) of the main control valve (16) forms the housing of the tracking regulator valve which has two piston elements (39, 41), the axial distance between which can be adjusted by control edges (73, 74) and (76, 77) on the piston side and housing sides respectively of the tracking regulator valve (19). The piston (87) of the main control valve (16) has an axial through-bore (122) through which passes an actuating element of the tracking regulator valve (19) which can be displaced by the mechanical actual-value feedback so that the tracking regulator valve (19) assumes the shut-off position (0). Opening of the tracking regulator valve is controlled by the rotation of a nominal-value indicating element (49) by means of the electromotive drive (36) and closure of the tracking regulator valve (19) is effected by the rotation of an actual-value feedback element (48). A hydraulic drive system for a punching or an embossing tool comprises a double-acting hydraulic drive cylinder with piston surfaces of various sizes. The fast feed, working feed and fast retrun are controlled by the joint or alternating application of pressure by the piston surfaces. For this purpose, a surface-switching valve switches over from differential drive to unilateral application of pressure to the largest drive surfaces when the drive pressure exceeds, for example, 90 % of the maximum output pressure of the pressure supply aggregate. The surface-switching valve comprises a nonreturn valve which is acted on in the direction of opening by the working pressure prevailing in the smallest drive pressure chamber. The elastic closing force of the nonreturn valve is equivalent to an opening pressure equal to approximately 90 % of the supply pressure. The surface-switching valve comprises a hydraulic slide valve with a valve body in the form of a differential piston which the body of the nonreturn valve. When the nonreturn valve is closed, the pressure acts on the smallest drive pressure chamber and the pressure prevailing in the largest drive pressure chamber acts on the largest step of the differential piston. The ratio of the surface area of the largest step of the piston to the area covered by the seat of the nonreturn valve seat is geater than the ratio of the largest to the smallest surface area of the piston of the hydraulic cylinder.

Weiter ist ein Flächen-Umschaltventil, das ebenfalls druckgesteuert ist, vorgesehen, das, nachdem das Druck-Umschaltventil auf höheren Versorgungsdruck umgeschaltet hat, von Differentialbetrieb des Hydrozylinders auf einseitige Druckbeaufschlagung seines Kolbens auf dessen größerer Kolbenfläche umschaltet, bzw., wenn der Bedarf an Vorschubkraft wieder gesunken ist, nachdem das Druck-Umschaltventil deswegen auf niedrigeren Versorgungsdruck zurückgeschaltet hat, seinerseits wieder auf Differentialbetrieb des Hydrozylinders zurückschaltet.
