摘要: In the context of a method for moving a workpiece cutout (16) separated from a sheet-type workpiece, in particular a sheet metal, with the additional generation of a residual workpiece (17), the workpiece cutout (16) is moved in a movement direction (52) parallel to a workpiece main plane (53) of the sheet-type workpiece over a workpiece support (7) extending parallel to the workpiece main plane (53), in that the residual workpiece (17) is driven in the movement direction (52) and the workpiece cutout (16) supported parallel to the workpiece main plane (53) on the residual workpiece (17) is thereby carried along in the movement direction (52). An abutment (26, 27) for the workpiece cutout (16), arranged on the side of the workpiece cutout (16) facing away from the workpiece support (7) and acting perpendicular to the workpiece main plane (53), moves with the workpiece cutout (16) in the movement direction (52), wherein the abutment (26, 27) and the residual workpiece (17) have a maximum spacing from one another perpendicular to the workpiece main plane (53) which is smaller than the thickness of the workpiece cutout (16). The preceding method is part of a method for discharging the workpiece cutout (16) from the workpiece support (7) and additionally part of production methods, in the context of which the workpiece cutout (16) is separated from the sheet-type workpiece in a working area (54) of a machine tool (2). A mechanical arrangement (1) functions to carry out said production methods and comprises a device for moving the residual workpiece (17) in the movement direction (52) and/or a device for discharging the workpiece cutout (16) from the workpiece support (7).
