Target histograms are determined based on the result of the locally linear embedding process. A method of taking a self portrait image using a mobile device having a front camera and a back camera includes capturing a self portrait image using the low resolution front camera of the mobile device as a reference image. A new image is then acquired using the high resolution back camera of the mobile device. The two images are compared for framing accuracy and the mobile device provides audio instructions to a user to adjust the position of the mobile device for more accurate framing. Another image using the high resolution back camera is acquired to more closely frame the high resolution image with that of the low resolution reference image.
