摘要： A portable compact has an automatic switch (13,31) which switches on a lamp (7, 29) when the compact body (1, 20) is open. A portable compact is provided formed of an upper case (3, 22) provided with an illuminator (7, 8, 9; 28, 29) and a mirror (11) and a lower case (4, 23) for accommodating a variety of cosmetics (15, 34) and a battery (14, 30). When the upper and lower cases are opened, the illuminator is automatically turned on, thereby making it possible to make up the face even in a dark place. The illuminator is automatically turned off when the upper and lower cases are closed. Also provided is such compact having an automatic switch (13, 31), a battery (14, 30) and a manual switch (32) in the upper case which is adapted to turn off the illuminator by the manual switch when the compact is used in a light place.
