The forming die has a forming die body in a square barrel shape, and there are a lot of through holes (22) provided between mount surfaces (25) and inner side surfaces (26) of the forming die body. Grooves (23) communicating with the through holes (22) are provided in the mount surfaces (25). When a molten metal is injected into the cavity, the through holes of the forming die body form outwardly projecting portions of a cast product. A casting mold includes a cavity formed therein, and a core projecting into the cavity. The core forms a concave portion in a cast product, and it exhibits a thermal expansion coefficient being equivalent to or more than a thermal expansion coefficient exhibited by a molten metal to be charged into the cavity. Hence, the core greatly expands thermally during casting, and it keeps the expanded state during the solidification of the molten metal. Accordingly, the casting mold can prevent the casting defects resulting from the shrinkage cavities from arising in the resulting cast products. All in all, the casting mold can obviate to give the core a tapered configuration, and it can reduce the after-casting machining allowance to be provided in the resulting concave portion.

In the method (3), a pre-chamber insert (1) with an internal pre-chamber (4) is prefabricated and is arranged in the correct position in a cylinder head mould (11). A casting material is then filled into the cylinder head mould (11) with the arranged pre-chamber insert (1), and the cylinder head (2) with the materially bonded pre-chamber insert (1) is thereby manufactured for the internal combustion engine. The invention also relates to the cylinder head (2) and the pre-chamber insert (1).
