Abstract:
Nonwoven textile fabrics in accordance with the present invention are formed primarily of individualized bast fibers substantially free of pectin. The nonwoven fabric can include staple fibers to a lesser extent than the individualized bast fibers. Individualized bast fibers include fibers derived from the flax and hemp plants. The nonwoven textile fabric is formed into a web while in a dry state and subsequently bonded to produce a nonwoven fabric.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing multilayer security products (11), made of at least one card (13) and at least one polymer film (14) applied on at least one side of the card (13), provided as a rolled good and having at least one security feature, wherein a roll web of the polymer film (14) and at least one strip (18) having an n number of uses (12) are fed into a laminating station (31) and laminated, a control line (23) on the polymer film (14) is detected prior to laminating, said line associated with at least one of the security features to be applied to each use (12), or a reference mark (19) associated with the use (12) or the strip (18) is detected, and a feed speed or a feed direction or both of the roller web of the polymer film (14) and the strip are adjusted to each other for precise alignment.
Abstract:
In a method of producing a laminate (12) the following steps are applied, which are producing the carrier material (11), and laminating onto the produced carrier material (11) inline with the production of the carrier material (11) a substrate carrier (3) that comprises on at least one of its surfaces a layer (4) having adhesive properties such that the adhesive layer (4) is in contact with the carrier material (11) and adheres to the carrier material (11).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and device for producing film composites. During a process step, a first single film (2) is gripped by at least one first gripping mechanism (8), and said gripping mechanism (8) is moved alongside the film in a first direction of movement (4). During a further process step, the position of the film (2) in the first direction of movement (4) is determined, and the film (2) is fixed to a predefined position in the first direction of movement (Y). During a further process step, the position of the first film (2) is determined in a second direction of movement (X) which is essentially at a right angle in relation to the first direction of movement, and the first film (2) is moved in a second direction of movement (X). According to the invention, the film (2) is gripped by a second gripping mechanism (4) for transport in the second direction of movement (X).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for applying a film (5) to a carrier (4), for example to a plastic card, said carrier being at least partially coated with the film in an irreversible manner. The inventive method is characterised by the following steps: the carrier (4) is prepared; the carrier (4) or the film (5) is coated with a thin layer of a transparent bonding agent (8) which is hardened under the action of electromagnetic waves; or a film coated with a thin layer of a transparent bonding agent (8) hardened under the action of electromagnetic waves is provided; the carrier (4) and the film (5) are brought together; the carrier (4) and film (5) are compressed by means of an at least small compression force; and the bonding agent is hardened under the action of electromagnetic waves, especially under the action of light (9). The invention also relates to a device for applying the inventive method.
Abstract:
A transfer device (10) for adhering a transferable material (26) to a target substrate (28) is disclosed. The transfer device (10) includes a supply of transfer substrate (22). The transfer substrate (22) has a carrying surface (24) and an adhesive-type transferable material (26) provided on the carrying surface (24). A pressure applicator member (14) has an engaging surface (30) with a release characteristic and is positioned in pressure applying relation adjacent the carrying surface (24) of the transfer substrate (22). The target substrate (28) may be passed between the transfer substrate (22) and the pressure applicator member (14) so that the adhesive is transferred to the target substrate (28). The transfer device (10) also includes a take-up roll (16) for winding up spent portions of the transfer substrate (22) from which the transferable material has been transferred to the target substrate (28).
Abstract:
A manufacturing apparatus (20) has a reel-out mechanism (32), a processing mechanism (36), a label bonding mechanism (40), a reservoir mechanism (42), a peeling mechanism (44), a substrate feed mechanism (45), and a joining mechanism (46). A detecting mechanism (47) for directly detecting a boundary position of a photosensitive web (22) is disposed upstream of and closely to the joining mechanism (46). Based on detected information from the detecting mechanism (47), a relative position of the boundary position and a substrate (24) in a joining position is adjusted.
