摘要： The invention relates to an electrical hand iron comprising a housing, a soleplate and a power cord which is provided with first electric contacts electrically connected to second electric contacts arranged on the hand iron, and a fixing system which makes it possible to discharge the tension of the power cord. The aim of said invention is to develop a hand iron in which the discharge of the tension of the power cord is easily reduced and said power cord is electrically connected to the hand iron. For this purpose, the first electric contacts of the power cord are securely fixed to the fixing system in order to ensure the tension discharge of the power cord. The assembling of said hand iron comprises fewer stages and is less time consuming, thereby making the production thereof more economical. The associated assembling method is also disclosed.

摘要： An electric iron (1) includes a main body portion (2) and a rear end portion (3) detachably connectable to the main body portion by means of releasable positive interlocking means (4). The rear end portion (3) serves as a base upon which the iron may be stood to form a free standing assembly both with the base interlocked with and disconnected from the main body portion. The main body portion (2) and rear end portion (3) respectively incorporate the parts (6,7) of a two part electrical connector so that electrical connection is automatically made when the two parts are interlocked. An electric cable connection is made to the rear end portion. The relationship between the two portions (2,3) and the two parts (6,7) is such that substantially no restraint is offered to the main body portion being lifted from the base when the interlocking means (4) is released.
