    摘要: A flexible character-indentable plastics embossing tape (11) is backed by and bonded to a lead strip not more than 0.025 inches (ie. approximately 0.65 millimetres) thick, to form a tape suitable for identifying radiographs. The lead strip (13) is itself backed by a relatively thin and flimsy plastics or fabric strip (15) which, when removed, allows the lead (and hence the lead-plastic tape as a whole) to be pressure-bonded to the surface to be radiographed. A conventional tape-embossing gun is used to indent the desired characters in succession, and in order, into the lead-backed tape, without necessarily severing the lead; and then the backing strip (15) is peeled away to expose the layer (14) of adhesive which pressure-bonds the indented tape to the object to be radiographed. X-rays incident on the embossed tape will cause the raised characters (a) to show up dark on the subsequently-developed film, whilst the raised side areas (b) will show up white. Each character will thus stand out on the developed film.

Zur Vermeidung von Lufteinschlüssen zwischen Verstärkungsfolie (9) und Film (11) weist die dem Film (11) zugewandte Seite einer jeden Verstärkungsfolie (9) eine rauhe Oberfläche mit einem Rauhheitsgrad von etwa 10 bis 60 µm, vorzugsweise 25 bis 50 µm, auf. Dabei kann diese Oberfläche durch formgebende Maßnahmen, vorzugsweise durch Prägen mittels einer heißen Prägewalze oder Rakeln gebildet werden. Es können aber auch zur Bildung der rauhen Oberfläche in die Verstärkungsfolie (9) Teilchen in Form von Körnchen oder Kügelchen (12) eingebracht werden, welche über die Oberfläche der an sich glatten Verstärkungsfolie hinaustragen.

    摘要: A film package containing a stack of notched films in a lighttight envelope is held vertically in a lighttight loading chamber by a clamp member engaging with the notches of the films. The lower end of the envelope is cut, and the envelope is moved vertically relative to the films until the films are projected from the lower end of the envelope while the films are clamped by the clamp member. The clamp member is then disengaged from the notches of the films, and the films are allowed to move down into a receiving chamber positioned under the loading chamber. Then, a shutter is closed between the receiving chamber and the loading chamber to shield the films in the receiving chamber from light.
