Durch die Überlappungen der Außenwände und der Trennwände wird erreicht, daß die elektrischen Kriechwege innerhalb des Isolierstoffgehäuses und von einem Isolierstoffgehäuse zu einem benachbarten Isolierstoffgehäuse verlängert werden und daß der Durchtritt von Schaltgasen in benachbarte Räume eines Schalters und zwischen benachbarten Schaltern verhindert wird (Fig. 4).

The circuit breaker may prevent molten material inflow in a circuit breaker through a separate seal and insulation of components, each associated with a phase when a short circuit failure occurs, may prevent insulating performance decrease through the molten material inflow, may shorten an arc extinguishing time by an internal pressure increase through separately sealing components, each associated with a phase when a short circuit failure occurs thereby the circuit breaker may easily ensure short circuit performance, may implement a separate sealing structure of the components through a vertical integration of a bottom base and a top base, may have a simple structure and may increase assembly productivity.

The circuit breaker comprises mechanisms (7, 28, 29, 31, 32) for opening/closing holders (6, 26) holding movable contacts (5, 25) rotatably, and bases (2, 21) for holding the holders (6, 26) rotatably and also holding fixed side contacts (10, 23). When an overcurrent is detected, the movable contacts (5, 25) are rotated and an arc generated between contacts points is extinguished by arc-extinguishers (9, 34). The bases (2, 21) are insulating moldings principally comprising crystalline thermoplastic resin irradiated with an electron beam after molding.

Said piece (5) defines channels (7) that are alternately defined by the inner and outer side of said piece. The external connecting wires can be located in said channels in relation to the corresponding application disconector.

The present invention has an object to provide a circuit breaker and an assembling method thereof, in which constituent units are inserted into a case (100) sequentially in one and same direction so as to improve the efficiency in automatic assembling. In the invention, an internal mechanism of a circuit breaker is divided into blocks or units of an arc-extinguishing chamber unit (400), a switching mechanism portion unit (500), an overcurrent tripper unit (600) and a manually operating handle (300), so that the respective units are inserted and assembled into a molded case sequentially in one direction to manufacture the circuit breaker. According to the invention, it is possible to provide a circuit breaker and an assembling method thereof in which the efficiency in automatic assembling can be improved.
