The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a steel strip with a cathodic corrosion protection coating, in which the steel strip is hot rolled and then cold rolled; the steel strip is subjected to an electrolytic galvanization and after the electrolytic galvanization, the steel strip is heat treated in a bell-type annealing furnace at temperatures of 250° C. to 350° C. for a period of 4 to 48 hours and this produces a zinc/iron layer.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum kleberfreien Glühen von Metallteilen, insbesondere von Chrom und Mangan enthaltenden Stählen, in einer Wasserstoff-Wasserdampf-Atmosphäre mit den Phasen Aufheizen, Halten und Abkühlen, bei dem die auf der Öberfläche des Glühguts während der Aufheizphase gebildete, das Zusammenkleben der Glühgutteile verhindernde Oxidschicht während der Abkühlphase erhalten bleibt. Erfindungsgemäß können dadurch, dass der Taupunkt der Wasserstoff-Wasserdampf-Ofenatmosphäre während der Halte- und Abkühlphase erfasst und in Abgleichung mit empirisch ermittelten Sollwerten automatisch geregelt wird, eine saubere zunder-, anlass- und entkohlungsfreie Glühgutoberfläche aufweisende Qualitätserzeugnisse bereitgestellt werden.

A method of controlling bulk absorption of atomic hydrogen and facilitating degassing of hydrogen from aluminum alloy workpieces during heat treatments in furnaces with ambient and/or moisture-laden atmospheres by exposing the surface of the workpieces to a low molecular weight solution or dispersion of an alkyl phosphonic acid, an olefinic phosphonic acid or an aryl phosphonic acid before subjecting the workpieces to heat treatments. The workpieces exposed to the phosphonic acid solution or dispersion are subjected to heat treatment in furnaces having ambient or moisture-laden atmospheres. The solution or dispersion involves chemical species that are deposited onto the aluminum surface from the phosphonic acid solution or dispersion which substantially decrease the amount of atomic hydrogen entering the bulk of the workpieces from their surfaces during heat treatment and, in addition, facilitate removal of atomic and molecular hydrogen from the bulk of the workpieces during heat treatment.

A method of producing permalloy cores comprising the steps of applying an annealing separator coating 0.1 to 50 µm thick to at least one surface of wide permalloy strip, slitting the wide permalloy strip to a final width, winding or punching the final width strip, and annealing the strip at a temperature in the range 1000 °to 1300°C, and a permalloy core producible with this method. The method allows the efficient manufacturing of permalloy cores with highly stable magnetic properties.

An anti-oxidation agent for preventing oxidation of a stainless steel strip during continuous annealing comprising a colloidal inorganic substance which can be crystallized at a temperature not higher than 1300°C at least one compound having a melting point not higher than 1300°C, selected from the group consisting of silicates, borates and phosphates, a dispersion agent, and the balance substantially water. The anti-oxidation agent is applied to the surface of the stainless steel strip. During the annealing, the anti-oxidation agent enhances the heat absorption so that the stainless steel strip temperature is elevated to the annealing temperature in a short time. The anti-oxidation agent on the strip surface forms a film of a fine structure which keeps the strip surface away from oxidizing components of the annealing atmosphere so as to suppress generation of oxide scale. The film is easily separated due to thermal contraction in the course of the cooling after the annealing.
