In a mobile terminal including a display unit configured to variably display a 2D (2-dimensional) image and a 3D stereoscopic image of a parallax barrier type, the present invention includes determining a play mode of a source image including a left eye image and a right eye image for implementation of the 3D stereoscopic image, if the determined play mode is a 3D play mode, determining a brightness of the source image, and enhancing an output brightness of the source image in accordance with an output brightness of the source image.

The invention relates to a method, device and computer-program product for suppression of undesired temporal variations, notably flicker, in a sequence of video frames. Histogram-based and similar approaches generally do not remove all flicker. Features that are resolved only in portions of the flicker cycle will manifest themselves as residual flicker. This effect is near-universal in bright regions of a scene. The inventive solution is a mapping that aims to resolve in the output only those features that are resolved in all frames of the flicker cycle. Use of time-maximal quantile values may preserve non-resolution of such image features that are unresolved due to intermittent bright saturation. Thus, in one embodiment, a reduction of resolution is attained by means of a pixel-value mapping based on selecting, over a time window, maximal and minimal quantile values, with maximal values being used for bright spatial regions and minimal values for dark spatial regions.

The display apparatus includes a display unit which displays a calibration screen divided into a plurality of areas when a calibration mode is initiated, an image generating unit which generates a guide image for displaying an arrangement position of a calibrator, and a controlling unit which controls the display unit to display a guide image on areas where calibration is to be performed of the plurality of areas. Accordingly, it becomes possible to improve user convenience and exactness of calibration.

An image processing apparatus, including a first input unit, receives a first image signal. A second input unit receives a second image signal. A user interface unit receives a user command for adjusting an image quality of the first image signal and the second image signal. An image processing unit generates a reference image frame which consists of the first image signal and the second image signal according to a user command. A display unit displays the generated reference image frame on a monitor screen. Additionally, a control unit adjusts the image quality of the second image signal based on the first image signal, which constitutes the generated reference image frame, and the control unit controls the image processing unit in order to display the reference image frame, on which the result of the image quality adjustment is reflected.
