    摘要: A method for displaying an image on a display device (13) which is part of a display system also comprising a host device (11) configured to at least composite image data into an image frame and to transmit the image frame to a display controller (12) for display on the display device (13). The image has a predetermined portion, such as a cursor, having a Quality of Service (QoS) requirement higher than the rest of the image. Based (S31) on a performance level of the display system, compositing (S3Y4) the predetermined portion with the image data is composited into the image frame at the host device if the host device has sufficient performance capability to do so. If it is not determined that the performance level is sufficient, then the host device composites the image data without the predetermined portion and transmits it to the display controller. The host device also transmits (S3N4) information regarding the predetermined portion to the display controller independently of the image frame, so that the display controller can composite (S3N4b) the received image frame with the predetermined portion based on the information to produce the image for display.

    摘要: Electronic Paper Displays can suffer from ghosting or previous images remaining partially visible after the display has updated to show a new image. A pseudo-random noise intermediate image is used to make the ghosting less visible to human observers. Further, other intermediate images can be used to convey visible information or to convey secret information, e.g. a watermark. A control signal for driving the bi-stable display from the current optical state to an intermediate state, then to a final optical state is also determined. In some embodiments, the intermediate state for each pixel is determined in a pseudo-random manner. The pseudo-random noise values are applied to the bi-stable display to remove noise and other artifacts from the end resulting images. The determined control signal is applied to the bi-stable display to drive the bi-stable to the intermediate state, then to the final optical state.

When one frame of video data x is to be transmitted, a SDI sending terminal determines whether there is intelligent information satisfying a transmission condition; the transmission condition comprising that intelligent information is not transmitted and transmission of a frame of video data corresponding to the intelligent information is finished. If there is the intelligent information satisfying the transmission condition, the SDI sending terminal adds intelligent information y being one item of the intelligent information satisfying the transmission condition into a preset position of the video data x; and transmits the video data x having the intelligent information y. By using the solutions of the present disclosures, implementation costs are reduced and security is improved.
