    摘要: When starting to receive a multiplex PSK signal of BPSK, QPSK and 8PSK signals, a selector (16A) of a demodulator (1A) reads three most significant bits DELTA phi (3) of phase error data corresponding to I and Q symbol streams from a phase error table (15-1) for BPSK among those classified according to modulation type and phase angle. A phase angle detector (8A) detects phase angles, corresponding to bits (1) and (0) of the frame sync signal in the received symbol stream, from DELTA phi (3) and the MSB of the I symbol stream, and supplies them to a remapper (7) to generate absolute phases. A selector (16A) retrieves phase error data, corresponding to the received symbol stream, from a phase error table associated with the type of modulation and the phase angle identified by a transmission mode detector (9). The retrieved data are sent to a digital-to-analog converter (17) to correct the phase of the reference carrier for quadrature demodulation so that received signal point may have a fixed phase with respect to the transmission signal point.

The present invention is suitable for narrowed bands of communication paths and reduces the affections on adjacent channels.
