Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing pure or enriched bisabolol by separating substance mixtures containing bisabolol and farnesol, by selective esterification of farnesol and subsequent distillation separation. The invention relates specifically to a method as cited above, consisting of selective esterification of mixtures containing formyl-bisabolol and formyl-farnesol and subsequent distillation separation. The invention also relates to a method for producing farnesol esters.
