    摘要: A stapler, comprises a housing (10), a handle (30), a base/track (20) sub-assembly and a striker (110). The base/track sub-assembly includes the base, a track pivotally attached to the base, and a cover plate including an anvil disposed in the base. The base includes a first base position pivoted to be adjacent to the track and a second base position pivoted away from the track. The track is pivotably attached to the base at a rear of the track. The second base position includes the anvil being adjacent and below a front of the track. The base/track sub-assembly is slidably attached to the housing including a first position under the housing and a second position extending rearward from the housing. The striker (110) is slidably fitted at a front of the housing. The striker is movable between a position above the track and a position in front of the track. The track is co-extensive within an elongated staple loading chamber (14) of the housing, the track of the base/track sub-assembly moving within the chamber substantially exclusively by sliding on the housing between the first position of the base/track sub-assembly and the second position of the base/track sub-assembly. The staple loading chamber is exposed in front of the base at a bottom of the stapler in the sub-assembly second position. The base/track sub-assembly second position includes the base being in the second base position.

    摘要: Power spring configurations for a spring energized fastening device includes a compact double torsion power spring and two opposed compact single torsion springs. Simplified structures to hold the springs in a stable pre-loaded position are disclosed. Each coil has forward extending arms including an angled portion and forward vertically coincident portions. The double torsion spring has a self-locking crossing geometry to hold a pre-loaded rest position. The opposed two springs have a bridge and a mandrel to hold the rest position. A lever presses arms of the spring between a striker and the coil including a compact nesting condition. A tab of the striker extends forward to provide a release edge and a positioning torque bias upon the striker.

A handle is pressed to energize a power spring while the striker remains stationary. At a predetermined position of the handle, the striker is released to eject a staple. A subassembly of a cage and the power spring provides a preload to the power spring in the rest position. The subassembly is separately movable from the handle to allow a handle pressing end to move father than a cage front end travel distance. A lever links the striker to the power spring to provide leverage upon the power spring. The lever and cage/spring subassembly are nested in a compact assembly. A safety lock includes a two step action to restrict motion of the striker, and fits a notch in a bottom of the striker.
