    摘要: A manually powered fastening tool which stores and instantly releases the energy of a spring (40) such that it may force a staple (70) or other fastener into an object by an impact blow in which the operating handle (22) is hinged near the end of the tool body opposite the end from which the staples (70) exit. A staple ejecting plunger (21) is unstably linked to the spring (40) such that when a lever (28) moved by the operating handle (22) to energize the spring (40) slips past ledges (11, 13) thereby removing a light holding force, the lever (28) disengages from the spring (40), which releases the plunger (21). The tool housing (10) comprisses a cantilevered rear profile.

    摘要: A low profile, flexible windshield wiper assembly has a frame (10) constructed from flat sheet spring steel. The frame (10) attaches to a semi-rigid spline (50) at distinct pressure points, while the spline (50) supports a rubber wiping blade (60). At least some of the pressure points are located at the end of cantilevered fingers (18) formed in the frame (10) so that the spline (50) may flex independently from the frame (10). The cantilevered fingers (18) allow semi-pivotable portions of the frame to flex independently from the rest of the frame to enhance curve conformance on a windshield. The frame (10) attaches along the center of the spline (50) while the blade (60) attaches along the edges of the spline (50). The present invention allows the pressure points to be efficiently formed out of the frame material.

    摘要: A spring energized stapler includes a "high-start" design wherein a striker has an initial rest position above the staple track. A handle is pressed to energize a power spring while the striker remains stationary. At a predetermined position of the handle, the striker is released to eject a staple. A subassembly of a cage and the power spring provides a preload to the power spring in the rest position. The subassembly is separately movable from the handle to allow a handle pressing end to move father than a cage front end travel distance. A lever links the striker to the power spring to provide leverage upon the power spring. The lever and cage/spring subassembly are nested in a compact assembly. A safety lock includes a two step action to restrict motion of the striker, and fits a notch in a bottom of the striker.

    摘要: A compact, electric, spring energized desktop stapler having a unitized housing providing both an external movable enclosure and a support frame for internal parts is disclosed. The internal power train is preferably elongated with the motor at the rear, a gear set toward the center, and low profile lever and power spring assembly at the front. The lever engages a striker with a normal upper rest position where the power spring is deflected and energized. A cam roller mounted to a final gear holds down the rear of the lever until the system is activated when the final gear rotates and the cam roller rolls off the end of the lever. In the unitized body, the base is pivotally attached to the body at the rear. A base lever selectively links to a cam roller or equivalent structure to move the body downward toward the base during a cycle.
