摘要： A stocker apparatus for storage mediums such as minidisk cartridges is provided which includes a stocker tray moving mechanism designed to move stocker trays between a neutral and a storage medium loading/unloading position together. In the neutral position, the stocker tray moving mechanism lays the stocker trays (16,17,18) to overlap each other with storage medium loading/unloading openings being aligned vertically. In the storage medium loading/unloading position, the stocker tray moving mechanism shifts the stocker trays laterally by different distances so as to orient the storage medium loading/unloading openings diagonally upward for facilitating ease of manual loading and unloading of each storage medium into and from corresponding one of the stocker trays.

In accordance with the travel of the disc tray group (12), one disc tray is selectively positioned in the disc reproduction assembly (2) and the remaining disc trays are stored in the tray accommodating units (3, 4). According to this structure, the number of loadable discs can be increased without unduly increasing the size of the entire apparatus and the complexity of the selecting mechanism.

摘要： A disk player has a magazine for storing disks and a disk transport mechanism transporting a selected disk between a playback position outside the magazine and a store position located entirely within the magazine. The carriages are stacked upon each other and pivotally supported within the magazine. The carriages are extracted from the stack by lifting a front end of a carriage above a selected carriage. A transport mechanism moves carriages between the magazine, the playback position and an eject position. A disk sensor senses the presence of a disk in the transport mechanism before the carriage is reinstalled in the magazine and a memory updated to indicate that the selected carriage is occupied by a disk. If an extra disk is inadvertently placed on the selected carriage, after the transport mechanism reinstalls the selected carriage, the sensor indicates that a disk remains on the transport mechanism. The transport mechanism then brings the extra disk to the eject position before moving the magazine to prevent the extra disk from being damaged by the movement of the magazine.

摘要： A disk player has a magazine for storing disks and a disk transport mechanism transporting a selected disk between a playback position outside the magazine and a store position located entirely within the magazine. The carriages are stacked upon each other and pivotally supported within the magazine. The carriages are extracted from the stack by lifting a front end of a carriage above a selected carriage. Subsequent to the lifting of the carriage, the selected carriage is withdrawn from the magazine to the playback position. When a selected carriage is moved to the playback position, the disks on carriages above and below the selected carriage are prevented from shifting with the removal of the selected carriage by coaxial opposing shafts which extend through spindle holes in the disks on the carriages above and below the selected disk. A closeable gap between the two shafts permits the selected disk to be shifted. The gap is closed, except when a carriage is being shifted into or out of the magazine, thereby preventing disks and their carriages from shifting due to vibration or tilting of the cabinet.
