    摘要: A compact power circuit breaker (1) has a molded insulative casing (3) providing the structural support and electrical isolation for the pole mechanisms (11) mounted in cavities (9) in the casing and the operating mechanism (33) mounted to the front of the casing. A grounded barrier (17) between the pole mechanisms (11) and the operating mechanism (33) protects the operator actuating push bottons controlling the operating mechanism and accessible through a molded insulative cover. Preferably, the grounded barrier (17) is sandwiched between a rear section (5) of the molded casing containing the pole cavities and a forward section (7) to which the operating mechanism is secured. The grounded barrier (17) is connected to an electrically conductive pan (61) extending under the molded insulative casing which also houses electrically grounded linkages coupling the operating mechanism to the vacuum interrupters of the pole mechanisms. A vented air gap (65) between the rear section (5) of the molded insulative casing and the grounded barrier (17) minimizes erosion of the molded insulative casing in the event of an arc penetrating the casings to the grounded barrier.

    摘要: A third electrode (8A) is soldered, via a support fitting (9) onto the inner surface of a support part (1a) which projects into the intermediate part of the inner surface of an insulation tube (1A). An arc generated between the fixed-side contact (5A) and the movable-side contact (5B) when the switch is opened is led from the outer periphery of the fixed-side contact (5A) via the third electrode (8A) to the movable-side contact (5B), in a so-called two-point switch, and the dielectric breakdown probability is thus reduced, particularly at low voltages. The third electrode may have its outer periphery exposed from the insulation tube and be used as one electrode when conditioning is carried out. By the use of this structure, the present invention is capable of meeting the demands for environmental protection and insulation reliability.

    摘要: A vacuum interrupter, an envelope of which includes a pair of electrical lead rods of copper or copper-based alloy, one lead rod being brazed vacuum-tightto one end plate via a first tubular sealing member fitted onto one rod, and a bellows surrounding another lead rod, an outer end of the bellows being joined vacuum-tight to another end plate and an inner end of the bellows being brazed vacuum-tight to the other lead rod via a second tubular sealing memberfitted onto the other lead rod. Each sealing member is made of an iron-based alloy and has an inner wall inciuding a groove retaining solid brazing metal and two vacuum-tight brazing surfaces opposing each rod across a small clearance. The molten brazing metal permetates through the clearance due to wetability and capillary action without erodingly diffusing into the opposing surfaces of the lead rods and the first and second sealing members.
