    摘要: The system contains a fiber optical transmission line (6), a first light source (10) for emitting a first light beam into a first end of the transmission line (6), and at least one first light sensitive element (46) for receiving light from a second end of the transmission line (6). The first light beam contains coded information which is decoded by a decoder (72). connected to the first light sensitive element (46). The decoder (72) will issue a specific output signal when it is addressed.
    The system further contains a second light source (82) for emitting a second light beam into the second end of the transmission line (6). This source (82) is activated by the decoder (72) and is controlled in dependence upon information to be transmitted, preferably in dependence of a physical parameter (p1, p2, p3, p4). The system finally contains a second receiver element (90) for receiving light from the first end of the transmission line (6). This element generates an electric output signal which is in accordance with the transmitted information. The system preferably has a large number of transducer units (60) or measuring elements associated with various second ends of the transmission line (6) for transmitting information of various nature and/or from various locations.

    摘要: Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren zur Rückmeldung des Leuchtens einer Signallampe in einem Verkehrssignal an eine Überwachungsvorrichtung anzugeben, bei dem die Ausführung auf einfache Weise erzielt werden kann und im Besonderen das Verlegen zusätzlicher Kabeladern vermieden werden kann.
    Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäss durch ein Verfahren zur Rückmeldung des Leuchtens einer Signallampe in einem Verkehrssignal an eine Überwachungsvorrichtung gelöst, welches die folgenden Verfahrensschritte umfasst:
    a) Ansteuern der Signallampe (4) mittels eines durch Pulswellenmodulation (PWM) bereitgestellten elektrischen Leistungssignals über eine Zweidrahtverbindung (10);
    b) Detektieren eines Lichtstroms der Signallampe (4);
    c) Aufbereitung eines von dem detektierten Lichtstrom abhängigen Überwachungssignals;
    d) Rücksenden des Überwachungssignals über die Zweidrahtverbindung (10) in einer Lücke (T r ) der Pulswellenmodulation (PWM) oder durch eine durch eine temporäre Variation der Last hervorgerufenen Stromänderung an die Überwachungsvorrichtung (14); und
    e) Auswerten des Überwachungssignals in der Überwachungsvorrichtung (14).
    Auf diese Weise kann das Überwachungssignal auf der Zweidrahtverbindung an die Überwachungsvorrichtung zurück gespeist werden, was die Verlegung weiterer Kabeladern obsolet macht. Die Rückführung des Überwachungssignals ist zudem rückwirkungsfrei auf den Versorgungspfad, weil entweder die Lücke in der Pulswellenmodulation oder die temporäre, unterhalb der Detektionsschwelle liegende Lastmanipulation zur Rückführung genutzt werden.

    摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a communications system for communication between two remote terminals, where even at very long distances between these two terminals and/or at very small signal-to-noise ratios a robust communication is possible. The invention achieves the goal set before by suggesting an inventive pulse position modulation scheme and a corresponding optical communications system. Multiple pulses are sent per symbol, the timeslots are made shorter than the pulse duration and after every timeslot in which a pulse is located, several timeslots are left blank. AM modulation of the pulses is also possible. The system and method according to the invention are very well suited for communication with a satellite in deep space, for instance.

    摘要: A wireless data receiving apparatus and method using an UltraWide Band (UWB). The apparatus includes a random-interval pulse sequence generator (612); a template pulse sequence generator (621) which generates a reference template pulse sequence used to detect the start point of the random-interval pulse sequence and generates pulse sequences for a signal 0 and a signal 1 by changing the widths of pulses; a random number sequence detector (622) which receives the random-interval pulse sequence and detects information regarding the start point of a random number sequence, using the reference template pulse sequence; and a comparator (623) which compares the pulse sequences for the signal 0 and the signal 1, and determines whether the value of the received random-interval pulse sequence is 0 or 1. Accordingly, it is possible to easily detect information regarding the start point of a pulse sequence while maintaining a processing gain.

    摘要: A method of providing encoded data can include receiving a datum (1203). Responsive thereto, the datum can be encoded into a waveform pulse to reflect a position (1205) and phase (1207) corresponding thereto. A signal can be output with the waveform (1209). A method of demodulating encoded data can include receiving a signal (1303). Responsive thereto, data in the signal can be demodulated to reflect a position and phase of a waveform pulse (1305). Responsive to the pulse and the phase, information represented by the data can be determined (1307). A signal representative of the information can be output (1309). A communication device (201) for transmitting data can include a processor (209) which, responsive to receipt of a datum, can determine a position and phase of a pulse in a waveform corresponding thereto. Responsive thereto, a data stream can be provided representative of the waveform. A transmitter, responsive to receipt of the data stream, can transmit the signal.
